Dubai - Philippe Mexes Contract at AC Milan will soon be exhausted. Felt himself still at the top level, Mexes was expecting a contract extension from the club.
The original French center-back contract will be completed by the end of next season. Until now, the Rossoneri apparently has not held talks on a contract extension.
In this season, the 32-year-old footballer playing in six Serie A and has always been a starter. Mexes wish it could be longer at the San Siro.
"Personally, I felt I was in a good level. I also was able to provide more contributions," said the player who played for AS Roma to Dubai Sports.
"The new contract? Not yet, but I hope soon to happen," UCP Mexes was quoted by Football Italia.
Mexes was the only player who has appeared for 90 minutes in a friendly match against Real Madrid which Milan won 4-2 last night. Although not a competitive game, victory over Madrid finished its own moral injection for Diavolo Rosso.
"It was a tough game," he said. "Playing against Real Madrid is an honor."
"Although only a friendly, but it would be a great victory for our confidence. It will be a boost in the future," added Mexes.
