The Travel Minister Opens MarkPlus Center for Tourism & Hospitality in Bali



Denpasar - The Travel Minister Arief Yahya inaugurates Markplus Center for Tourism and Hospitality in Bali. Former Managing Director of PT Telkom admitted was quite enthusiastic about the launch of the tourism industry.  

"This is a business development, especially welcome for the tourist industry," he said at the Hotel Berry Biz, Jl Sunset Road, Kuta, Bali, Saturday (11/08/2014) afternoon.
According to him, the inauguration is in line with the targets which will reach 20 million tourists in 2019 will present Indonesia. This first step, recognition, as well as the fulfillment of the targets of President Joko Widodo.
"Our target is hard. But it must be done. So, we asked help for the ministry of tourism businesses in realizing it," he said.
In fact, when compared with neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Thailand, Indonesia is still below the two countries, in terms of the number of countries of origin of foreign tourists. Thailand has about 150 foreign tourists visiting the country, Malaysia's 50 states, while Indonesia only 15 countries.
 "Though they are not as big as the state of Indonesia. And actually we are not inferior to the neighboring countries," he said.
