Running is one of cheap, healthy , and make you stay slim
sports . However many people are lazy to do it for injury .
There are many injuries kinds which often attack the fans ran . Among these
shin splints ( pain due to damage to the muscles along the shin ) , jogger 's
heel ( heel pain ) , Achilles tendinopathy and knee pain .
" Not only painful , recovery also need big cost and spend weeks , "
said exercise physiologist Sebastian Buccheri as quoted by ABC Australia ,
Sunday ( 17/05/2014 ) .
But the director of the Exercise and Sports Science Australia affirmed explained
that the running activity doesn’t causes the runner easily injured . One of the
major causes of injury in runners is a lot of amateur runners who are not
wearing the right shoes .
" Most people use the wrong running shoes because they do not know the
natural shape of their feet . Example for them who have excessive pronation feet
or very flat one, if applied the wrong shoes it will cause leg internal
rotation. This will overload the knee and hip joints, "said Sebastian .
otherwise, people who have excessive supinator leg (or foot curved) if used
wrong shoes, they are at risk of fractures , especially in the legs .
Then how to prevent it? we suggest to meet podiatry experts to help choose the
right running shoes , Sebastian also asked the runner to pay attention which foot is step on the
ground at first . It is considered important for determining the running speed
as well as prevent injury .
" for the amateur runners , it will be better for them to be consistent in
their habits, " suggested Sebastian .
This reinforced the results of a study from the University of Western Australia
found that trying to change the feet side step first on ground ( front or rear
) is jeopardizing the runners.
Researchers say for runners who are used to using the rear legs ( 75 percent )
. When they changed the run technique , then they tend to increase the risk of
injury and in the end they will run slower than usual .
